James is also a voice talent for hire. Listen to some samples of ads he has recorded for local (Portland, Maine) radio. He is also a voice for Captain Zoom, a customized children's birthday song with an over 30 year history.
He is a large brass player, take that however you want. He plays an instrument known as a "Monster Circular Contrabass," which is in the Tuba family, in the helicon group.
He also makes and sells maple syrup in small batches under the Mr. Tubahead label.
Back in the early 1990s, I was a graduate student of Applied Physics at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey. While there, I published some web pages about a couple of interesting computer modifications that I had made. For archival purposes, I have made them available here.

These images were taken with Kodak 800 speed negative film. The camera is a Pentax Screw Mount with a Pentax 28mm lens mounted on a tripod. The exposures varied from 5 to 20 seconds. |
